This section contains links and description of useful software

It is a general repository of musings, descriptions, explanations and recommendations of software of all kinds, including third party open source software, and that written by me.

The software covers a range of different topics, but the common theme is software that is useful for academia and writing including researchers, lecturers and students: 文库: a growing Chinese document library, 墨砚: a research-focused text editor which aims to solve a number of problems of existing writing software (in progress), musings on presentation software, on LLM use: how to detect it, and why we need better software , 摸文: data analysis software for digital text archives , creating Agent Based Models for social science.
